Welcome to our site. Here you will find all kinds of information about cd mixers. If you are a DJ or just a music lover you will find articles and reviews on our site that will help you in making a decision about the best DJ Cd Mixer for you.

For a DJ, the mixer is basically the most important piece of your set-up and is essentially the nerve center. The mixer is what sits between your source of sound, which in this case is your Cd players, and controls the amount of sound that is released to the dance floor.
A mixer allows the Dj to que up tracks into headphones or monitors and allows digital effects to be added to the output as well. The mixer then produces the output to your speakers, stereo or speaker/amp combination.
There are several different types of Dj Cd mixers available depending on your needs and budget. Over the years prices have been dropping while the quality of Cd mixers has increased dramatically. Many new models have dual Cd players built in to the mixer itself.
2 Channel DJ Cd Mixer
The most basic and cheapest mixer is a 2 channel or “battle style” mixer. If you need just two cd players with your set-up, a two channel mixer will be sufficient. This will give you a bare bones set-up and is used by many hip-hop Dj’s. Numark, Gemini, and Stanton all make very reasonably priced 2 channel mixers.
3 Channel DJ Cd Mixer
A 3 channel mixer is for the Dj who wants too add another component to the mix. You can add another Cd player, an effects machine or basically any other device you wish. You can also hook another Dj set-up into a channel to mix together. Gemini and Stanton both make good quality 3 channel Dj Cd mixers for under $200.
4 Channel or “Club Mixers”
A 4 channel mixer offers the most functionality and several great features which make it ideal for the serious Dj. Features such as XLR outputs, room monitor controls, great MIDI capabilities and advanced sampling and effects processing. Good 4 channel mixers such as Pioneer or Vestax models, can run up into the $2000 – $3000 range.
